You've posted quite a few of these "drawings" already. I suppose so you do them yourself, what program do you use? How much time for one drawing? Do you use templates or is every drawing from scratch?
cheers, Alex

I use Coreldraw for the main parts of the drawing. But I don't think Coreldraw is the right program to add shadows, so I transfer the drawing to Photoshop to add the 3D effects. The time needed for a drawing is very different. A car is about 150 to 200 lines, but motorcycle is 1500 to 2000 lines. A car takes about 1 or 2 days, A motorcycle is about a week. I always start from scratch, but of course when I finish a certain car I can put on different liveries without restarting from scratch.

Thanks, they drawing look very professional! Great effort! Why exactly do you do this, just for pleasure? Reference for yourself and other modelers?

Yes and no. I started doing this for pleasure, but in the meantime I published a book covering all Le Manss winners and right now I'm working at a book covering all Rally World Champions. I also work for a Auto Memorabilia shop in Holland.

These are indeed great. I particularly liked your Rolls-Royce Phantom II (one of the most beautiful cars ever made IMHO). I was thinking about doing similar profiles, but of aircraft. I also use Corel Draw (just for fun, am not a pro). Was this a self-taught process, or are there online resources you could point me to? Thanks.

I learned to use Coreldraw from a friend who always told me that Coreldraw was way better than Photoshop to draw technical stuff. I'm not a pro myself, but I have been drawing in Coreldraw since december last year now. Of course I had the 'feeling' for it since I used Photoshop for years before that. But I think there are online resources that can help a lot as well. And I learn new things every single day myself😉
