F-111F from an A kit
This kit was bought second hand 20y ago. Nose section was already built up. I immediately stripped the paint and kept everything in a plastic container since.
Fuselage was assembled. As the wings will be swept, I elected to cut out the wing boxes entirely, as the plastic in the area was rather thin. The fuselage intake area was widened to correspond with the Triple Plow II intakes.
For rigidity I added a plasticard floor to the wing boxes.
View of the rear fuselage.
Underside view of the main gear well, the widened intake area, as well as the auxiliary air doors which I have posed open to simulate running engines.
It's a mess now, but after sanding down it should all hopefully look a bit more tidy.
The intake air flow vanes were individually glued.
The wings were cut to ease assembly. the wing glove will be glued against the cut outs.
Test fit of the wings.
