Revell 1:72 CR42 Falco
Here is the problem, one blade missing. I built this Revell kit in 1970.
I found a leftover prop blade from another kit that was close in size and sanded the blade to match.
Then drill a hole to match a piece of piano wire and glue it in.
Cut the wire to a shorter length.
Drill a hole in the prop hub.
Attach the blade and a little silver paint!
I used some aftermarket decals back in 1970, they were not easy to find back then.
It's a great looking little fighter.
An early attempt at mottling for me.
Back she goes into my new display case, good as new!

Personally...i think Tim and Scalemates should have a "Thread of the Year" favorites contest...
...and this is my vote!
Dude...this is awesome.

I have been building models since 1960, and enjoy every minute of it. Thank you for your kind words, they make me feel very good! And I am glad I was able to save many of my old aircraft models.

A kit that I built 50 years ago lost a blade in storage so I repaired it.
