Both Merlin powered machines Spit and P-51 are great looking but I have to give the edge to the Spit, just a beautiful bird. Nice build. 👍

Hi John, agreed! Yes, both (with all their various upgrades/engines) are mighty machines indeed. I couldn't bring myself to make the option of the Spit in this kit with clipped wings, it just spoils that iconic shape... When I returned to this hobby in 2019, my first build was a Monogram P-51 - that tells you something as well 😉 Thanks for your comment on my build 🙂

Ha, I know what you mean about the clipped wing Spits. It's like taking a beautiful girl and lopping off her ears. Aerodynamically it made sense but aesthetically it was an atrocity.
