ok, why that? Its easier to find for people interested in construction of this new kit if added to the project -> like me 😉 So what do you think about construction? Do things fit into things?

yeah it's true you're right it allows you to better appreciate the quality especially if it's a novelty.
this is my 5th assembly of a plane so can experimented but to compare with this listing:

the Meng kit is easy to assemble, there are even ergos to fit the parts

Beautiful work with the wash and with the nozzles?? I think theres a real beauty developing on your bench!
What's your choice of Metallics?
I did build the italeri typhoon which also comes in a certain revell boxing, but the real revell typhoon is still waiting in my stash. Only heard it's not the most brilliant piece of engineering 😉

It's cool and encouraging but I still have a lot to learn especially from you when I see the pre-shading you did on the Revell super hornet or when I see the weathering job on the trumpeter kit
On the high visibility version vfa 31, I interpreted a slight weathering knowing that
on a low visibility the aging is more pronounced I think.
From memory the metallic paint on the nozzles is: vallejo 77723 exhaust manifold for the manifolds and X32 Titanium silver for the nozzle outlets. I added touches of oil paint to even it all out. The Typhoon Revell will require work on top of the fuselage but maybe it's me who is poorly prepared for the assembly.

Not so modest, I think your approach nails the clean look of the original and is still interesting to look at 👍

I saw you use Ak rc paints
My question: in your opinion is there a big difference in color with Mr hobby or Tamiya paints?
Example: fs36270 and fs36375

Well, all I can say that I am really happy the light and dark ghost gray from AK rc, it looks in scale and nicely bleached. I have not used the other two and dont know if they differ, I guess the mr hobby mix is probably the most widely used on navy models and on point as well

Excellent work. VFA/VF-31 has a storied and interesting history and I like your display with the Super Hornet. In particular, your ordnance is very realistic looking - very convincing weathering.

Many naval aviators wear mustaches, especially when on deployments. Not as many as during the 70s/80s, from what I have seen in photographs, but still a lot in recent times.
