Hi. Thank you Daniel, Roland & Gorbygould. Glad you like it. This kit fought to the very end. But I am pleased with the final result. Cheers

Thank you James, Spanjaard, Sebastian, Eelco, Stefan & Rui for your very kind words. They are much appreciated. I feel a bit lost for now as this is a project I was very fond of, and it is going to be hard to find another long term build that keeps a steady mojo level. I am leaning toward the Focke-Wulf factory for an attractive scheme. Cheers

I like it when these old builds pop up because I haven't been on this site all that long. Gives me a chance to see them.

That is sweet!! Weathering was just perfect to my eyes. The paint job on the canopy bow windscreen was very nice.

Matthieu,
Admiring your build …again, I had a few questions that I thought might assist me when I start my build:
1. This was all OOB? Did you wish you would have used any aftermarket products?
2. You choose not to display the engine and gun bays. Any thoughts on that?
3. The weathering was fantastic and it looks like you have dusty wings. How did you do that?
4. What brand of paints were used for the exterior?
5. Any notes on how you did your photos? They are fantastic as well.
Thanks for your time and again, fantastic model! Congratulations.

Hi @Paul Morre.
Thank you very much for the kind words, and popping this build full of fond memories into my feed.
Glad to read you gonna start a Pony (BBD as well ?)
1. Aftermarket used: The barracuda cockpit goodies (decals and sidewalls) One heavily modded Yahu panel, and the HGW filmless stencils
2. The gun bays are not shown in the final pics but still accessible. Engine, I wish I had opted earlier to not show it, I would have ended with a better cowling adjustment. The engine is georgous, but the Mustang often displays awesome nose arts, wich imo are more eye catchers than the displayed merlin.
3. Splattered almost anything liquid that felt under my hand. The in progress album shows it more in detail.
4. Tamiya's LP, awesome metallic effect, and absorb punishment and weathering without damaging.
5. My wifes Fuji with a macro objective. She does cooking photography better than me doing models pictures with that stuff. taking the time to pose the pictures also helped.
Looking forward to your Mustang !
Cheers.
