First attempt at making a hose line from scratch. Wound wire around a popsicle stick and spaced the gaps evenly before wrapping it in black electrical tape. In hindsight I should have used Teflon tape as the electrical tape was just a little too thick and didn't show the ribbing as much as I'd hoped.

Album image #23
Engine completed with wiring and hose. My first ever attempt at wiring an engine.

Album image #24
Spark plug cabling as seen from underneath.

Wow is all I can say! I bought a Molotow liquid chrome marker and touched up all the chrome parts. I am amazed at the finish.

I went back and redid the doors with the chrome.

I also went back and chromed the body parts which were previously done with a silver sharpie.

Almost there!

Album image #51
Body clear coated with 1 x mist coat and 2 x wet coats of acrylic clear spray. The body wasn't in the best shape to start with so it basically just made it more obvious.

Ended up putting the holes in the steering wheel with a pin vice. First time using one. Could have gone better.

No new paint job on the exterior. Keeping the existing yellow and red on this one and then expanding on that throughout the interior. The interior looked very plain in the original grey colour and these cars have such beautiful interiors so I wanted to try and show that with this model.

Thanks! Was a tough decision with what to make red and what to make yellow. I couldn't find any real photos of the car in these colours so it just had to make it up for the most part. Was also very hard trying to match the yellow of the body as its quite a dark yellow.

the interior are the most "problems" on the low priced diecast models . often repaint them also to look more realistic.
