So, what I'd like to do is to link the hydraulic piston to the long push/pull bar. Here goes....
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/7/8/1475178-26091-15-720.jpg)
First attempt went well, but was a little too small to allow movement.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/7/9/1475179-26091-45-720.jpg)
Second attempt also went well, until I snapped off one end whilst filing it to a curve.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/1/8/0/1475180-26091-45-720.jpg)
Third attempt...keep your fingers crossed!
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/1/8/1/1475181-26091-69-720.jpg)
A little lop- sided but still functional.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/1/8/4/1475184-26091-40-720.jpg)
Fitted to the T end of the rod.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/1/8/3/1475183-26091-10-720.jpg)
And now glued to the piston end. I'll give it plenty of time before installation. Fingers crossed it all stays together.....

And now installed and working.

It allows the ram to slide in and out.

Not 10/10 but not too bad either 🙂

Now with some dusty accumulations, and a few rusty knocks and scrapes.

Many thanks for your 'likes', everyone. I need to find a connection piece, for the piston to link to the long strut that launches the bridge.

Having been inspired by another Mate's work, I've re-visited this one, and added highlights and shadows, plus scribed some lines for the turret hatch. No scratch building, but hopefully a little improved? I'll take some photos and up-load them at the weekend.

Wow, didn't even know Airfix had this as a kit. Great job with the weathering

Many thanks, Guy. It's a fun kit, just crying out for a diorama.....

Really cool, Bruce! (Perhaps it is childish, but I love that feature that all is movable after assembly 😉 )

I free-hand scribed hatches on the strange 'turret', and added highlights and shadows here and there. Hoping they are an improvement.....

Many thanks, Robert. It was a learning experience, and hasn't put me off 😉
