Ford Staff Car Model 1942 - Tamiya 1/48
Opmerkingen
Very interesting subject (the Yugoslav markings make all the difference) and lovely result... Thumbs up, dear Djordje... (and I won't even comment on your 2021 production rate...!) 👍
Thanks Alex! I plan to reach 30 by the end of the year, we shall see 🙂

I had so much trouble with this model (Ford Staff car Model 1942 - Tamiya 1/48). Over 2 years ago it was almost done but the roundel decal film was so poor and it yellowed and I had to strip the paint on both doors. I set it aside until 3 days ago, I wanted to get it finally done and out if my stash. This model and the scene depict the visit in Cairo, Egypt by HM King Peter II of Yugoslavia on 1 November 1943 to the Yugoslav Detachment within 512th Squadron 376 Bombing Group which flew B-24J bombers. Model was painted with Vallejo acrylics and weathered with AK wash and pigments. Yugoslav roundel is somewhat larger than the actual one but I didn't have a smaller one I wanted to waste on this project. I made couple mods to the model to make it look like the one from the photo and added a brass tube exhaust. The model is finally done and I'm not looking back! Model 24 for 2021!
