Géza SzekérSimon: Until this model is done, I'll probably build 3-4 others in the meantime so I don't lose my work ethic. There is a saying among Hungarians: If you have a lot of problems, your hair will be gray.
There are a lot of small parts, some of them are defective in casting. I'm still optimistic now.

I've built the btr-80 and the bmp 2, it was a stressful piece of work😬
I think ace kits are good in detail but the fitting is often terrible, hope for the future this will get better🙂

Géza SzekérSimon: This is my second ACE kit. The first was the FV-4005, you can find it in my gallery too. The whole thing went well, I am satisfied with the result.

Tom B.Interesting project, I have the same kit lined up for building 👍 For the colour, I am considering a mix from Tamiya Dark green (XF61 or similar) and NATO-green (XF67) to prevent the small model from ending up too dark... Also one could work in a little buff for the desert setting as the paint may work better there when being a little bit desaturated. That´s my "educated guess" on the colour-topic 🙂

Maxim MalparteIntuitively, from what I've seen in Italy, It's more of a greyish olive drab, and usually yellow fades away heavily, which leaves the color more like field grey. XF22 with a touch of NATO green would be my first choice for the base color.
