OS2U Kingfischer
Overview of the Airfix Vought Kingfischer kit.
Cowling, engine and propeller, as well as the mobile phone electric engine that will be adapted.
Propeller shaft was drilled with a microvise to install the motor, as well as the front of the engine.

The right rear cockpit bulkhead of the cockpit was broken and the broken part was missing. Thus I had to make a repair with styrene sheet.

Fuselage and wings assembled.
Decided to make scratchbuilt engine cowlflaps. Sanded cowling for instalation.

Model and floats primed.
Started to paint fuselage and floats.

Float installed with wiring.
Side floats and bomb racks installed.
Pilot and gunner in the cockpit.
Started to make the diorama base, using kitchen aluminum foil to simulate water.
Base for diorama.
Preparing MDF Base for battery and ON/OFF switch.
Bases glued together and electric wires placed.
Almost done. I have done the waves around floats with PVC white glue and cotton.

Now I have to set up a transparent acrylic box to finish the model. Electric motor is tested and working. ON/OFF switch can be seen.

Nice start on an old kit, Gustavo! I remember building this kit many years ago as a kid. Like the idea off the mini-motor. Where are you going to put the battery?

Thanks Gordon! It will be a diorama of the Kingfisher moving on water. Thus I will istall battery and onoff shwitch in the wood base. I am still studying some techniques to simulate ocean water. It will be my first diorama actually.
