Great Karl - now I want lasagna!
I've experimented with thick aluminum foil and it's either too stiff, or it buckles too early.
Lead foil (from a wine bottle) seems to be more forgiving.

So the cushion is lead foil? The work on the engine looks great, and I'm watching these other skills and techniques with interest 👍🙂

Indeed, it is! I went a little overboard with the rivetting wheel and now th stitching is a little too heavy.
A slight buffing might do the trick..

Thanks Spanjaard - aren't we all colelctors of things that might be useful sometime? 😄
Karl, almost completely agreed. For me it's not about the finished model itself but the path that leads there.
Trying out new things, learning soemthing from failure and maybe improve some techniques/skills a little - that's my reward 😉

And enjoying looking at them and knowing all that you put in there, even if nobody can see it anymore 😉
