Uffz. Julius Händel, I believe, in the photo. He was fighting a rearguard action as the Soviets advanced through Poland, and finally met his fate at the hands of a P-47 on September the 23rd 1944. Note the Indian emblem. I have chosen the scheme because of its unusual spinner and prop colouring.
Sadly, again, the photos can’t capture the PE and details in this cockpit- they’re there, believe me.

Has been a quick build. 95% of parts in perfect register and fit.
Underside pretty much ready for the RLM76
Another 2-3 hours on, and we’re here. NB a small but significant gap between fuselage and wing on starboard side. Will need a sliver of filler.

Andy BallHi Bas, thanks for watching!……I have very little I'm afraid- I've seen reports the Russians got him in the end, but 2 separate reports say it was a US P-47 in Nijmegen area that sealed his fate. The Luftwaffe records don't seem as detailed as the Allied ones. Perhaps that's victor's justice for you.? 😞
