My older models
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/0/5/1/1365051-10800-55-720.jpg)
Built after toying with some inexpensive and un-photographed kits - the excellent Tamiya Birdcage Corsair. Built around 1996
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/0/5/2/1365052-10800-22-720.jpg)
I still have this one - Italeri´s PBJ with the underslung torpedo. Also from around 1996.

![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/0/5/4/1365054-10800-22-720.jpg)
My first classic Revell ship, the South Goodwin lightship. Despite brazenly leaving ejector pin marks, I tried my hand at improving the railing around the lantern from the clear styrene part supplied in the kit. Also arond 1998.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/0/5/5/1365055-10800-22-720.jpg)

![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/0/5/6/1365056-10800-69-720.jpg)
The then new Revell Me 410 also was a kit I enjoyed building.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/0/5/7/1365057-10800-47-720.jpg)
I added a pack of CMK resin to this Tamiya Skyraider, but couldn´t resist using this very hackneyed scheme. It´s attractive though.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/0/6/4/1365064-10800-51-720.jpg)
Hasegawa´s 1:48 Shinden. Built around 1997.

![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/0/6/1/1365061-10800-84-pristine.jpg)

![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/0/6/2/1365062-10800-33-720.jpg)

![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/0/7/0/1365070-10800-58-720.jpg)

![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/0/7/3/1365073-10800-28-720.jpg)
Yellow is not my favourite colour in modeling, and this Airfix 1:72 Antarctic Auster had to be brushpainted for a group build. An exercise in frustration.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/0/7/4/1365074-10800-85-720.jpg)
I spent a lot of time modifying and accurizing the Airfix 1:72 Lunar Module, even made a bit of lunar surface in 2003. Alas, all gone now save the images.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/0/7/5/1365075-10800-32-720.jpg)
This Academy Arado 234 was tricky to build, especially the canopy. I like the effect on the booster engine parachute packs, though. Built in 2003.
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/0/7/6/1365076-10800-67-pristine.jpg)

![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/0/7/9/1365079-10800-87-720.jpg)
I was later reminded that this Hasegawa 1:48 "Val" would have looked spick and span during the Pearl Harbour attack, not excessively weathered as I built it in 2003.
![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/0/8/0/1365080-10800-45-720.jpg)

![Album image #150 Album image #150](/albums/img/2/0/7/1365207-10800-64-720.jpg)
The main project of 2017 was building a model of HMS Victorious during her service for the US navy in the Pacific in 1943. I used the 1:400 Heller kit and oodles of L´Arsénal and other aftermarket items, including a resin bridge made by Peter Hall. I tried to replicate as closely as possible a period photo.
![Album image #151 Album image #151](/albums/img/2/0/6/1365206-10800-53-720.jpg)
For which I needed a refueling tanker. So I huilt another Revell ESSO Glasgow kit, this time in its military guise, which needed a LOT of corrections.
![Album image #152 Album image #152](/albums/img/2/0/4/1365204-10800-29-720.jpg)
I did not attach the models to theri bases so I could present them on a common base at model shows.
![Album image #153 Album image #153](/albums/img/2/0/5/1365205-10800-66-720.jpg)
The only other completion I have on record for 2017 is this Retrokit resin figure which definitely is not called a Minion.

![Album image #161 Album image #161](/albums/img/2/1/2/1365212-10800-23-720.jpg)
My most involved project of 2019 was building the old Revell box scale angled deck Essex kit as USS Hornet recovering the Apollo 11 Command Module. Not that much of the original kit was used, a lot of aftermarket and scratchbuilding was needed. One of my favorite models.
![Album image #162 Album image #162](/albums/img/2/1/5/1365215-10800-40-720.jpg)
WEM 1:700 HMS Sussex County Class Cruiser. I love the reflections of the smooth "water surface".
![Album image #163 Album image #163](/albums/img/2/1/7/1365217-10800-73-720.jpg)
The year 2020 started with this Airfix 1:72 RN Buccaneer. A fine kit and pleasing result.
![Album image #164 Album image #164](/albums/img/2/1/8/1365218-10800-63-720.jpg)
I then built this Sword 1:72 Fairey Gannet AEW.3 in 2020. Things went easier than anticipated, and the result turned out better than feared.
![Album image #165 Album image #165](/albums/img/2/1/9/1365219-10800-94-720.jpg)
Next build for 2020 was the WEM 1:350 Castle Class corvette.
![Album image #166 Album image #166](/albums/img/2/2/0/1365220-10800-92-720.jpg)

![Album image #167 Album image #167](/albums/img/2/2/1/1365221-10800-40-720.jpg)
Also during the spring of 2020, I dragged this Amodel 1:144 C-123 Provider with skis from the shelf of doom. Well, I persevered, but only just.
![Album image #168 Album image #168](/albums/img/2/2/2/1365222-10800-83-720.jpg)
I had much more fun during the summer of 2020 building the 1:72 Airfix Air Sea Rescue Launch, augmented by a downed pilot and some scratchbuilding. I´m especially happy with the diagonal planking effect and the cage aerials.
![Album image #169 Album image #169](/albums/img/2/2/3/1365223-10800-70-720.jpg)
In 2020, I did another 1:600 Airfix kit, HMS Suffolk. This required extensive rebuilding, and Ißm quite happy with the result compared to what was in the box.
![Album image #170 Album image #170](/albums/img/2/2/5/1365225-10800-13-720.jpg)
The last kit started in 2020 was the Orange Hobby 1:700 HMS Hermes, Falklands fit. This is truly no easy kit, with a plethora of microscopic PE and a very crowded instruction sheet. Moreover I had trouble with paint adherence despite thoroughly cleaning the hull part from mold release agent residues. Anyway, somehow I completed it, but I won´t tackle anything like that anytime soon.
![Album image #171 Album image #171](/albums/img/2/2/9/1365229-10800-64-720.jpg)
It was much more fun building this Artitec 1:350 resin kit of the Dutch version of the british Leander class in the spring of 2021.
![Album image #172 Album image #172](/albums/img/2/2/4/1365224-10800-62-720.jpg)
I followed with the Atlantic Models 1:350 resin kit of HMS Cleopatra, a classic gun-armed Leander in comparison with the Dutch vessel after its mid-life modernization. Built in 2021.
![Album image #173 Album image #173](/albums/img/2/2/6/1365226-10800-79-720.jpg)
During the summer of 2021, I tackled the Revell 1:200 Smit tug, originally an IMAI kit. I displayed it in a yard setting with workmen on board.
![Album image #174 Album image #174](/albums/img/2/2/7/1365227-10800-48-720.jpg)
I had also made a slipway for the tug, but the display box turned to be some crucial millimetres too low, so I left the slipway as a vignette of its own in the summer of 2021.
![Album image #175 Album image #175](/albums/img/2/2/8/1365228-10800-83-720.jpg)
The last model for 2021 was the excellent Starling Models 1:350 HMT Sir Gareth.
![Album image #176 Album image #176](/albums/img/2/3/0/1365230-10800-24-720.jpg)
2022 proved to be a difficult year on various levels. I hardly did any modeling, save this Airfix 1:72 Supermarine Swift.
![Album image #177 Album image #177](/albums/img/2/3/1/1365231-10800-77-720.jpg)
The main project for 2022, started on New Year´s Eve 2021 and paused in late March, was this classic Revell 1:285 Wind Class icebreaker, built as USCGC Burton Island in the late 1960s. It involved a major rebuild and a seascape / ice setting, complete with figures and penguins. When I got back a bit of my mojo in November, I completed the kit and am actually quite happy with it.

Album info
Here are models I built between the mid 1990s and beginning to use Scalemates - I wanted to have them in one place.
