Porsche 934 RSR `Jägermeister'
Tamiya Fine Surface Primer +
+ Zero Paints = disaster
The solvents of the ZP paint are too aggressive for the Tamiya primer
Back to square 1, paint was stripped..
Primed again and this time I went with the proven method, Tamiya Spary cans. TS-12 Orange
Several coats of paint with sanding inbetween, several coats of clear, decals..
each subsequent coat of clear over the decals was sanded to get rid of the decal edges
As a finished the surface was sanded and polished using various grades of sanding and polishing materials
This spot had to be repainted carefully because the decals were already applied
The tires acquired a "used" look with a dremel tool and sanding paper
The aftermarket seatbelts are a nice addition to the model

Very nicely done Mate 👍

Looks great. I'm tempted by a 934 for my Le Mans collection but wondering between Tamiya and Revell.

Thx a lot mates!
The result is far from flawless but considering the botched first body paint attempt I am quite happy with the result, always liked the Jäger orange.
@Dennis, it is indeed TS-12, several coats and applied it over the pink primer which gives the color a bit more saturation. I also noticed it is a bit darker than the "original" Jägermeister orange from Zero Paints.
@Roy: I want to build the Vaillant version too, have the Revell kit in my stash. It is a little more detailed than the Tamiya kit with a full engine but Tamiya is qualitywise on a whole different level. Never liked car kits from Revell, but maybe will give a shot at this one which is from fairly new moulds.

Just noticed it on Modellversium!
Great model 👍 but I must admit that I like the orange color shade on the polishing pics more. My favorite picture is 26. On the final pictures is looks too red? I know it is a problematic shade - my camera has also trouble with red, even after white balance. I don't know how it looks in real.

Thx Frank,
You are right the orange is much more saturated on the gallery pics compared to the working desk ones or the real thing. In real it is more "orange" orange. I use the same camera for both but different lights. This might cause the colour difference. I don't do much if any post processing either, maybe add some more contrast here and there or adjust the brightness, I am not much of a photoshop guru. But if I am being totally honest I must admit I like the reddish orange much more!

Gorgeous Alexander. I've built this one too, although not as pretty as yours. I would like to add the Vaillant version to my shelf sometime too.
