(Mostly done) BMD-4M
Edit: I'll leave how the kit looks pre-weathering so people can make their own decision on whether it's worth the extra time and effort.

Thanks, I like how it turned out so far despite me screwing up a bit with the tracks (though thankfully, it shouldn't be something that can't be hidden with a bit of weathering. Also, I'm surprised how well the packs turned out, given that they were copied using Oyumaru (and sprue goo) straight of the sprue of a Tamiya detail set XD

Alrighty, then - the bugger's more or less complete (I'll wait a bit to see if it needs a more passes of matte coat).
While the weathering is nowhere near the level of NightShift, Plasmo, Panzermeister and the like, I think it turned out pretty decently. Bonus points that the actual weathering took a combined couple of hours and relatively few items. In case anyone wants to give that route a try:
1) Matte coat (so it allows for a splotchier/dirtier look when playing with a wash or filter)
2) Appropriate colour wash (in this case Vallejo light brown for the vehicle, Italeri Dark Green for the tarps and gun mask covering) over the entire vehicle (basically using it as a filter)
3) (after allowing the wash to dry) Mud - Vallejo Thick acryllic for the tracks and deposits on the mud flaps and hull, AK dark mud on top (for tracks and hull), AK splash mud (to add a bit more texture), with the latter two mostly applied using an old brush and a cheapo lens duster (since I've found it more controllable than using an airbrush' compressor)
4) (again, after waiting things to dry) - Gently apply some streaking grime (both where grime ... well, should streak and on some raised details)
5) Final matte coat... and presto.. your bench is free for your next kit 😄
