5D-Libyan Civil War Intervention (2011)
United Nation Resolution 1973 was adopted by the United Nations Security Council in response to the civil war in Libya. The resolution demanded an immediate ceasefire and authorized the international community to establish a no-fly zone and to use all means necessary short of foreign occupation to protect civilians. The US, UK, France, and Canada launched a bombing campaign to eliminate Libyan treats to civilians, then turned over management of a no-fly zone to NATO as Operation Unified Protector. This collection covers aircraft that made their combat debut in during the Libyan Civil War and were prepared by testing and training received on the US Western Test Ranges.
