Well, as I'm still learning the ropes, both in terms of modern model building and with SCM, I thought I'd run this cheap and cheerful Airfix Bf109E kit bought for a fiver from Aldi a go as a project.
Looking at the plain detailing and limited parts of the kit, I'm not expecting great results but then again that'll match my skill level right now! Probably won't be entertaining to many but each kit provides a chance to progress and learn right?

We are all learning forever Andy. For what it's worth I think this is one of Airfix's nicest toolings of recent years. It even bears comparisons with the Eduard/Special Hobby 109Es. Don't be put off by the low parts count. It's great choice for everyone.
