Personal Interest:
This model represents a UGM-96 Trident C4 test missile of the US Navy. Cape Canaveral Air Station had a submarine port available for SLBM testing, and the Navy infrequently tested the Trident C4 throughout my tour there. The Trident replaced the Poseidon missile in 1979 and served in the US Navy through 2005. The Trident C4 was a three-stage solid fuel missile capable of carrying up to six warheads.
