Welcome to the build mates.
Kesa: Sillier the better for me. I go out of my way to find odd things to build. 🙂

I often winder how you choose your next topic for scratch builds! The subject matter is always something different or interesting - and the builds just phenomenal! Taking a seat to see the next creation!

Oh, this is cool. I scratch-built an armoured car too - nothing this intense though - so I'm super-keen to see this one shape up.

Thanks both. 👍
Capt: for this one I went looking for something Norwegian, because that was the subject of the GB for Jens. It had to be something I'd be able to scratch build (as I was too tight to open my wallet to buy something. 😄 ). Normally it's because I just stumble on an interesting picture. 🙂

Teabag-proof is a bit of a stretch. I suspect the insurance would have been void if they drove past Tetley's.
I'm currently making a pigs-ear of the weathering. No change there then. 😄
Thanks Alec. 👍

I'm not one of those people who claim to have a remarkable super-power...the ability to know what colour something is in a black and white photo. I haven't found anywhere which mentions what colour it was, so I'm going grey. Actually most of my hair fell out before I went grey but that's probably down to living with a daughter all those years ago. 😄
Oh yes, grey. I used Tamiya XF-87 as I thought that would be the most actuate shade of grey for something I know nothing about. Or it could equally be that I've got a lot of XF-87. Seems like a good enough reason to me.
I hope to get the completed pics posted at the weekend.

Thanks very much Kesa.
This was a very quick scratch-build for me, I think it was a bout three weeks. My Steaplechaser traction engine took about four months to build. Now that was a long wait. 😄

Alright so for my birthday I got a Creality Halot one plus with 100-240volt 50/60hz 100watt 3D printer but I lost the cable and havent found a replacement on the internet. Why am i telling you this? Because i was looking if someone knew what cable would be fit for it because i know a lot of scale modellers have 3D printers to make new parts and convert kits. Thanks in advance

Happy birthday Kesa, that sound like a great present. Is it the power cable you are trying to replace?
If so, I've just had a look and it looks like it might be what is usually called a 'kettle plug cable'. Google it and see if that looks like it'll fit. Kettle cables are readily and cheaply available online, but check at home first because there may be one in a drawer somewhere. I have a few from old computer devices.

I got it last year and my b-day is on may 15 but thanks lol 🤣
I think i already knew it was a kettle plug cable but as with my laptop too it needs a sort of brick to not overcharge it. Im not really knowledgeable in this area so im just firing blindly

Thank you, Mate! This photo etch is selfmade from 0.2mm brass plate ))) I need to buy the photo etch bender, to make it better. ))

Thanks, Mate!
I try to make weld beads like on my favorite YT cannel )))
1) I make a groove with scraiber, if it necessary on the plane surfaces.
2) Next, i prepare 2 component putty, and make a thin "laces" out of it.
3) After that, I carefully fill the grooves and angles with putty "laces" and apply welding texture with special tool (toothpick with tip warped with brass sheet, witch forms small speared C shape).
That is all.
Thanks, Mate!

Thanks, Friends! It is a really exciting and addictive process )))
I would like too ask, can anyone tell me, how to paint a "glass"? I mean, i need to imitate a glass on the headlight, and i can't find info, how to do it.

I do a mix of light blue, light beige and white. Using only white is just too stark. Hit it with a little clear gloss, and then a grimy wash. Still doesn't compare to the kits with the clear plastic lens covers, but doesn't look bad.

The 'painting exercise' is a success. Well done! 👍🏻.If this is an exercise then I am already looking forward to your 'for real work'😉
