Jean-Christophe ZeusNice! Watch out for the orientation of the steerable (front-most) road wheels. The hubs didn't rotate with the wheels - the flat bit should be horizontal.

Lenny VThank you Jean-Christophe! You saved me just in time, I had already glued the wheels together but with a bit of force could tear them apart again. Luckily they weren't glued to the model yet.
As you suggested the two bolt on the central hub should be pointed upwards!
Its a fun to build model, not to big, not to small. Overall fit and detail is good. There is room for some tweaking of details, but it's not mandatory

Thanks for the tip, I think I'll build one too someday. One of my planned projects is a BT-7 from Tamiya, converted to the BT-7M (the Diesel variant) with the conversion kit from MR Modellbau.

Lenny VHaha the boxart was the first thing I too checked, after reading your comment. Luckily the internet had the answers.
I can recommend to build the hobby Boss kit, it's fun. I'm now working on the tracks, less fun more repetition. But I'll get there, one link at the time.
I have the Tamiya BT too, but haven't build or compared it to this one. My plan was to convert it to a BT-7a with the help of a russian aftermarket kit. Mr. Modellbau has some great aftermarket sets, always tempting when I see them on a fair. Looking forward to see your take on the BT tank Jean!

Lenny VI used Tamiya extra thin, just lined them up against a metal ruler in pairs of three. Till I had about twelve together, then fixed the pairs together and plied them over the wheels. Glue stuck perfectly and I had enough time to fold them with some sag.
They aren't glued to the wheels yet, for painting purposes.

SafetyAngel New member here, saying hello to everyone. I am in Norwalk, California and have been in car Madeline since I was 12 years old. I specially like the 30’s 40’s 50’s, 60’s cars and Harley motorcycle models. I have a 1939 Chevrolet 2 door sedan and would love to find a resin kit to build like my car. I have not had any luck finding one. I will settle for a 4 door resin body that I can customize into a 2 door if a 2 door is not available. Any leads to where I can find either one is greatly appreciated.

Bruce HuxtableAu contraire, Robert. I have yet to try my hand at a bare metal finish, or indeed add fine antennae or rigging. I've only tried a few PE extras, and still only add paint by brush. The finishes you achieve are superb and thus inspirational, and there is never a hint of dodgy filler anywhere 👍👍👍

I heard somewhere that AeroBase kits are now to be purchased in some shop in the underground gallery adjacent to the entrance to the Louvre Museum...
@Bughunter - I plan to build the famous Lilienthal biplane glider soon from the same manufacturer 😉 Its span is about 4 cm actually...so not very small 😉
