Millenium Falcon (Lando Calrissian ver)
I chose to block-base this kit. This would allow me to control the color modulation of the kit, as well as define the shadows on the numerous panels.
Yeah - not the prettiest wiring job, but the parallel LEDs allowed me to use a single 9v battery
I applied the light - light gray color in layers so I can control how light the kit will end up - as well as allow me to better define the darker panel lines.
Three layers later
Decals laid down after the gloss clear coat
One more clear coat to settle down the decals before I matted it down to a semi-gloss.
Finished product.
Should have used a flashlight to show the cockpit details.
I assumed there were headlights here based on the Empire Strikes Back.
Maybe I should have used more micro-LEDs spread out vs 4 mini-LEDs.
I chose to light the turrets as well, so the detailed painting on it wouldn’t be wasted

Merci Beaucoup, Didier, but I think I overdid the engine exhaust stains! 🤔

Thank you James, Dash, Jörg! I should've lightened this a bit more - but the next one will be better - I hope. 😜

I took some liberties with this build, opting to go for the traditional Falcon Gray vs the called for white-ish gray.
I used this as a test subject for lighting a kit, as well as some light weathering with oils. the first part succeeded, but the oil wreathing is a work in progress for me (Probably should do that with a Matt clear coat vs a gloss)
