Yak-3 Lt.Col. A.D. Yakimenko 150 GFAR
No.2 in the Hasegawa dual package- I’m learning from last years PE placements
I’ve enjoyed the Sharpie build too ?
A bit more scratch building -gunsight next
Cockpit largely finished
Decided to do the undercarriage at this stage
XF-66 for the gull grey, or 71.307 as per previous build?
Rob Taurus canopy on this version augmented with an Airwaves rear view mirror. Hope the PVA glue holds it.
Cracked on with the paint and build today.
Decals and weathering to be done later
Decals were very thin, in register but brittle.
Just the lightest of weathering and some smokes to finish….(I always say that but end up doing more to hide my imperfections!!)
I feel I’ve done a better job on this dual combo from Hasegawa second time around…hope you agree!?….

Alec and Guy you are most welcome indeed! I'm trying to capitalise on the previous version I did last year- in other words, learn from your mistakes!
Thanks for popping in VdV too and others!!

@ Ł, I've taken them -1.33 which is my standard...maybe I'll retry...they're at ISO 400 too...despite the fact I consider myself an SLR user, doing models is a whole new discipline!

Great build Andy as always. Also, the finest and most life-like build of a Sharpie I've ever seen: competition entry?

Thanks Pavel!
Oops- should've checked this channel! A cheeky Ł peek: yes I'm "designer"- but I guess it's a popular mount on account of both pilot and that red cowel.
Thanks Jennifer, too, it's a better build second time round (there were two in the box).
