Marineflieger Fairey Gannet
Wings and fuselage already glued. Filling and sanding started.
Intensive preshading... in most builds I saw videos of, the preshading was completely invisible after the final coat of paint. But I have to try it.
masking...
more masking....
aand more masking....
Light layer of Vallejo 71.053 dark sea grey. There is some preshading visible, but this is not the final paint layer. We will see 😉
Further weathered the grey areas with neutral grey oil color streaks.
Glued and airbrushed the front cockpit canopy, also did some work ont he propellers.

Yes, it seems so. Not saying I bought the wrong kit off of ebay, but... yeah well. Still gonna build it 😉

Correct, this is the old FROG kit.
As far as I know, Revell even put a note in the box with the following wording:
"Sorry for offering you such an old model, but there is no other Gannet!" 😁

I also built the Gannet kit when I was at primary school. Unfortunately, the model got lost during one of my moves. But I have the T.5 from the new mould in my stash. So I'm looking forward to seeing what you make of it and maybe your report will help me with my trainer later.
