Jaguar XJ-S TWR Sports
Seats were painted with Humbrol enamel prior to painting with SMS Middle Stone. The plastic initially reacted badly with the SMS paints and had be stripped completely. It was much better with the enamel, but still started to go lumpy in places.
Very odd plastic in this kit. It reacts badly with the paint and goes quite lumpy.
Lots of fiddly bits in the engine, but quite easy to build. Left hand side intakes fell off while gluing the engine to the chassis, but at least it makes the spark plug wires visible.
Disaster in the spray booth. My homemade car body stand failed and the body did a somersault onto it's roof.
Ignition wires added in the correct firing order. Almost as difficult as wiring the real thing.

Thanks George. It's a nice kit, but the plastic is a bit reactive with the SMS paints that I use. I've had to use Tamiya primer on the body and that seems to be working fine. Shame I nearly ruined it when it blew off my painting stand. I've upgraded to the Tamiya paint stand now. I've also got the cabriolet and the TWR European Touring Car Champs 1984 winner in the stash. The latter is my all-time favourite race car.
