Nice start👍. Looking forward to your build. I´am curious to see the pros and cons of the kit.

I didn't dare to cut main weels bays, I just swore loudly at Trumpeter)
And there are some other remakes need to be done to make "A' from this model...

Many thanks , mates 😉
For those who wish to assemble this model, it will be necessary to plan a little surgery on the main landing gear bays.
Other than that, I will say that the kit is better than Italeri or Fujimi but that's just my opinion. The level of detail is much higher than the other two

Jaw dropping detailing -as usally! All looks so easy and still perfectly clean and we all know how hard this is (especially in 72) - great job!

Many thanks,
For the moment, I don't find any difficulty in building this kit.
I only used putty in the air intakes, the fitting is quite good

Dearest readers,
For those who would like to build this model but are not happy about having to open the gear hatches, you should know that these famous hatches can be closed on the ground. Yesterday, I found a photo which attests to the thing in the book "lock on" by Verlinden. These hatches are closed manually by the ground mechanics during a prolonged stop of the plane, a sort of storage, this avoids FOD. Of course, this is very rare, but nevertheless it is possible. Also, it's up to you 😉
Thanks Alek 😉

A tadpole I can see. But at least it's not a FROG or you would have your work cut out for you. 😉

Beautiful work so far, especially love the paint scheme with tan nose - that's what I'd like to build as well. I found some pictures with the "NE" on tail in the same paint scheme, so hope to avoid aftermarket decals. Just got the same kit, so have to follow this thread 🙂
Is the "Hobbyboss" in the album title a joke or a mistake?

Trumpeter's decals are very crude, especially the lettering. The roundels are all the same size while in reality the wing roundels are larger than those on the fuselage. If you can, get the KA-6D intruder decals from Italeri which are printed by Cartograf.

Great job Ronan! 👍 What would you say, a comparson between the Trumpeter and the old Italeri kit?

@Harry : i would Say that neither is perfect. The Trumpeter one is much detailled but the italeri IS not so Bad . I would say you need a box of each to make a nice intruder. From Italeri you Can get the decals, the wheels, the main Gear doors, the ordonnance...
That's why i bought two New italeri intruders 😂
Many thanks,mates 👍

That looks spectacular! I really like the folded wings! And the painting with that careful weathering is beautifully done. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was 1:48.

This level of detail and paint quality in 1/72, Bravo. Hoping my 1/48 turns out this well.

There are a lot of amazing models here on Scalemates.com, but yours is exceptional! Little things like making sure the forward landing gear doors are correctly opened for the "cold" state of the jet, the hydraulic lines, etc., not to mention immaculate finish. At first glance I thought it was 1/48! I hope you compete this at a show, it's a winner for sure!

Ronan can also build planes 🙂
And in what a way! Fantastic result I especially like the pictures with both Intruders together, an eye catcher.
Ever thought of building a little diorama!? 😎
They just call for that.
Cheers

Many thanks , mates 😉
I'm not a big fan of dioramas, i like simple scenes.
I think that the more things we put around the plane, the more the plane itself loses its interest; that's why I often don't add anything other than the plane. However, I admire the dioramas which are very well done...
