Kesa TihoDoes anyone know if the zvezda 1:72 armour kits have decals with them? Im planning to build a little warzone with german tanks but i dont know if the zvezda kits have decals or not and i need the decals. I would just buy the Italeri versions but they have a lot lower part count and are more expensive.

Kesa TihoIs there a phobia of Tamiya warbird collection kits? Cause if so i have that. I dont know why i fear them, why i feel sick upon the thought of building them. Ever since the build i did with my cousin: Making an F-51D with my cousin | Album by Gasmask (1:72) i hate the idea of building models like that. And its not the entirety of 1:72 plane kits, i actually really want to build a few 1:72 planes but just from other companies. Does anyone know of a cure?

Kesa TihoAnd ill look out for them Martin. Ill just be at my local model store, looking around. Then i faintly see "plastic made in italy" written somewhere on a tamiya warbid collection kit. My skin turns pale, i let out a blood curling scream and run for my life. Never to go back there again.

Kesa TihoDoes anyone know if the T-90A has a blue engine? I was building my meng 1:35 T-90A and noticed it said to make the engine blue, dont know if this was a mistake or the engine on the real thing is actually blue since i couldnt find any pics of the engine being blue

gorbyDoing a Google image search for 'T-90A engine' it looks like some of them are pale blue on top of the engine and I assume you probably won't be able see anything more than the top when the engine is in place.

Kesa Tihodoes anyone know if tamiya glue and paint work on PE? im planning to buy a very advanced model kit and it has PE, ive never built with photo etch so i have no clue about anything PE related

Martin OostromThat one is suitable for pe as well.
Be prepared for some frustration. The first time working with pe can be very hard. Cutting the pieces goes very well with an older knife and the piece on something firm, like an old cd. Sand or file the little nibs after cutting and be careful, edges can be sharp.

gorbyYou might find superglue gel easier to work with than the liquid, you can pick it up in most hardware shops very cheaply.
I'd advise you to wear something to protect your eyes if you are cutting PE. Small shards can fly off and you really don't want those in your eyes.

Kesa TihoDoes anybody know if water washable photopolymer resin works with tamiya glue? Thought that if i get the ol' 3D printer up n running i might make a few figures with this. Couldn't find anything on google about this though.

gorbyAlthough I've not tired it myself I doubt if Tamiya glue will work. On the very rare occasions I've used resin I have used super glue gel.

Kesa TihoYeah super glue basically glues everything. Though i have studied what tamiya glue, photopolymer resin and what kits are usually made of it should melt the photopolymer resin thus glueing it to any kit i would want to glue it to. But what do i know.
When you used super glue did you just use regular store bought super glue or some kind of specialized modeling super glue?

Steven Van DyckI think Tamiya glue only works on ABS and polystyrene It will melt some other stuff but it wouldn't weld it. I've also used composite glues on some figures. [img1]

Kesa TihoI don't know how you do it. As per usual my teenage self is going through another phase, or at least i hope it is a phase. Building models hasn't been as fun as it used to be recently. Sure i still enjoy it but its not the same. Knowing most of you on this site have at least been building for more than 5 years so i wanted to ask. How do you still find enjoyment in model building after all these years?
