Well Frank, the sun had a little delay, possibly due to jet lag 😉 Rainy and cold weather at Frankfurt when we arrived...

Actually I'm back home Pascal. We've been on a cruise to St. Thomas & St. Maarten. The last day we visited Kennedy Space Center Orlando. Mindblowing!! Goosebumps all the time 🙂

I visited the KSC way back in 1991...the Saturn V was outside then....still something to behold, isn't it?

Hey Stefan, I loved your photos of the Space Center. I used to live only a few miles away from the Space Center. As a kid I saw most all of the maned lunches from the Cape. The Company I worked for Designed the Saturn 5 Center. I was one of the Structural designer for the Company. I worked on the Saturn 5 Rocket supports at are in your photos 8 & 9. I also worked on the building foundation and the roof framing. My dad was a Rocket Engineer in the 1960's and 1970's at the Space Center and worked on many of the rockets in the Rocket Garden photo 10 and the Saturn 5 and Skylab. Sadly I no longer live in Florida.

I would love to meet you and talk about the KSC, 😉 Incredible how large that rocket is....

Stefan, yes KSC and the Cape is a very cool place. The Saturn 5 Rocket that was in the Saturn 5 Center was outside for many years and was rusting away before it was moved indoors and totally restored. I was very lucky as a kid and as an adult having grown up and have worked out at the Space Center. I have worked on many projects thru out the Space Center and Cape, seeing things most folks will never see. I have not seen the new Atlantis Building, it was under construction when I left Florida. Sadly most of the old Cape and NASA sites are gone. My apartment in Titusville Florida was next to US-1 and I could see the Shuttle launches and the landings from my balcony.
