I thought those holes were for machine guns...it turns out...bathrooms.

Another way out may be to print them on blank decal sheet, which should be available almost in every online modelingsupply shop, example :dersockelshop.de/hol..nstrahl-drucker.html
It might work, if you have pictures of the original markings

Hi, That's also a good idea Hanno. You can also find it in these shop (transparent or white):
policecarmodels.com/blankdecalfilm.html
I've read somewhere that you should use it with decal softener and fixer for better results...;)

Thanks, guys! I am having problems finding what my grandfathers armored livery would look like. When he drove LVT (A) 1s he was with the 780th Amphibious Tank Battalion. I can't find what they marked there stuff with...I can find several others...including the 708th (so close)...any sites where unit markings are known? Would appreciate the help. Thanks!

Thank you, Hanno! Yeah, I have one of these. I have found a few pictures from the 780th and their markings are boring enough that I will probably just use the kit decals. I have another kit of this same tank with a PE set, so I will keep looking and do it for that one. Thank you all for your help!
