Choppa Nutta
yeah, I thought that didn't look right but I'm unfamiliar with the two seater, easy fix I am sure 🙂

From any angle Clifford, it is a real beauty. And you are allowed the odd glitch mate, as I never saw the canopy 'mistake' as I was just so impressed with it's overall appearance. Congrats mate. 🙂 👍

just out of curiosity did the two seat version have bigger wings ?
3 June 2015, 22:47
Clifford Keesler
No the span was the same, It just had a longer nose.
3 June 2015, 22:54
Clifford Keesler
Kelly Johnson (designer) proposed a version with larger wings (Called The Lancer) which the Air Force rejected.

I'm not a fan of " Starfighter" since the Ramstein air show disaster on 28 August 1988, no longer convinced to fly the Italiner 😄 😄 😄 but to see your model is then but a great friend, absolutely beautiful and clean working 👍 👍 👍

Thanks mates. @Choppa, I'm going to buy a new camera, as soon as I can. I think that will help a lot. What is the best source for lighting?

at the moment judging by your photos merely another candle would do it haha 😄
I know, I know, I'm such a git !!
without going crazy on theatre lights etc. one of those 200w halogen bulbs would make an awesome difference, especially if it is mounted in a reflective shroud like a regular desk lamp. Another cheap thing that would help would be some white card (or more realistically a light blue card ) off to one side to bounce the light back onto the model emulating the reflected we get from the sky.

My usual setup, is to have the light inbetween the camera and the model but on the left, put the reflective card on the opposing side, if you add a clean surface or dio to sit the model and some kind of backdrop that isn't to busy to look at like faded sky and trees picture to give the impression of depth and that should give you decent results, would be a vast improvement 🙂

You don't need to go crazy though with lots of lights, really with a setup as I have described one decent light should be enough, plus it emulates outdoors much more closely and gives you a single shadow.

Daylight tubes would be a nice touch but the price goes up accordingly, another option is area lights but I don't like them for this sort of thing and they are bulky too. I would say though that whatever light you get 200W would be the minimum, better to have more than less, you can always move the light further away if it is too bright 🙂

I hope I expressed that clearly, I can do a diagram for you if you would like 🙂

I got the idea. My work lights for building are a bit anemic too, So I will try and find the 200w Halogen lights.Thanks.

No I don't think they do. The only ones I can think of are Eduard, Hasegawa and Revell. Itarile does a 1/32 scale one. I have that one. It is super detailed. Hasegawa does a 1/32 one also.
25 July 2015, 02:38
uncle chop chop
Ok witch ones the better one out of them u think? I like 1/32-1/48 how the eduard one?
25 July 2015, 07:22
Christian Ristits
I like this kit very much and you have done a great job on it Clifford!

Bulldog Scale Models
WOW it is Bellissimo!!!😉
25 July 2015, 08:47
Clifford Keesler
Thank you.@uncle chop chop, The eduard one is the Hasegawa kit with all the resin and Photo-Etch goodies included in the kit. So you actuall save money by buying it rather than the base Hasegawa kit, then having to buy all the rest. IMO the 1/32 Italeri is the best on the market. The cheapest place to get it is Hobby Link.

O'righty then seriously considering this for my next kit all tho i promised the wife a B-17 Menphis Belle kit lol could all ways do to at once!

yes sometimes I have more than one going at a time. My problem is that I have so darn many, I have a hard time choosing which to do next. I'm trying to talk my wife into the new Airfix Spit MKI and Hurricane MK I, but she says I have enough. We'll see.HA!
