Completed the build. Many small and delicate parts. Replaced several items with wire. Fit was pretty good but there is flash on a great many parts and clean up is tough on the really small parts. Overall a real good build. Now for some paint.

Hi Henry, nicely done, but if I may say so, 🙂 beware with the seam lines that appear in the optics. photo 32 🤔

Good eyes. I always go over my builds after I prime them to see if I missed any seams and such. The primer helps me see lines I might miss otherwise. I still think I would have missed that one, thanks.

Henry, I thought better to warn you before you start painting it. The close-up photos never lie. Glad to help 🙂 and that you didn't mind😉

That is the kind of thing every modeler should appreciate. An extra pair of eyes never hurts and if you can't take a bit of advice or criticism of your work you will not get better and you have no business posting stuff on sites like this. The feedback is how you improve. Thanks again.

Gun is pretty much done, maybe a bit of tweeking the weathering and I think I saw some raw brass in the muzzle of the barrel so I need to get that sorted out. The base I one of several options I am looking at. I have figures and a nice set of ammo & crates from Resicast to work up and sort out.

That looks great so far, Henry!👍 Regarding the fact, that the ruined building results from the ongoing fighting I would recommend to put far more debris on the ground. So much that almost the whole pavement is covered.

Thanks for the encouragement and advice Ulf. If I move forward with using this base I will look to add much more debris. The base is a resin product from Verlinden that is not really done yet and I am experimenting with this and other examples of resin bases at this point. I have all materials needed but I may save this base for a figures only vignette, we shall see.

I will be adding the figures and gear to this scene as soon as I get my rank badges from Archer. Most kits only offer rank for 1 sleeve but the British had rank on both sleeves. Archer has a real nice set of rank from lance corporal to RSM.
