While my research for my snowberry I bought this book online in a bookshop in canada.
I found some handwritten remarks from a member of HMCS Shediac .
This is what he wrote: " I was the originator of crests on gunshields.Other corvettes followed suit.Crest painted on in St Johns Newfoundland 1942!" K Dixon.
