I drilled the exhaust tips to make them look more realistic. Rivets are also drilled with 0,4mm drill. Looks OK to me, but next time i try 0,3mm.
Scribing in progress on upper wings.
Scribing of panel lines already done on fuselage halves.
Parts prepared for further assembly. I scribed the tire pattern as well with double saw.
The masks are originaly suited for Academy kit, but can be used on Revell kit as well, even with some minor corrections saves us a lot of time consuming work.
Painting of interior complete.
Interior offers just basic detail, thanks to decals it looks much better.
I painted the engine by imagination only to clean the brushes from excess paint, it will never see a daylight again until rest of its life.
With fuselage halves together now its a time to finish the wings. The oil coolers are already painted and glued to place to prevent further difficulties.
Now the construction of the main frame is completed, only wheels still need some weathering before assembly. The whole surface is brushed with MiG grey primer.
Primer in the top surfaces, only the canopy is painted by interior RLM66.
Remaining parts with the primer on, wheels are gloss and ready for wash. The propeller still needs some scribing.
First layer of RLM65 on bottom surfaces.
The Masters Flak 18 are out of this world when compared with plastic ones. The are however a bit shorter than needed.
Started the main RLM71 color.
Done 5 layers of RLM04 and no satisfying results yet.
Painting completed, surface all gloss ready for decals.
Under surfaces ready for decals
Decals on
Almost done
Under surfaces are a bit overdone, but I am ok with it.
