Have made this little beast last year, not a shake&bake kit. Keep it up 🙂 Best regards, Hubert

Did they finally make a T-26 with link to link tracks? I bought a Zvezda T-26 some time ago and it only came with vinyl tracks. Quite disappointing 🙁

gorbygould, Hubert Kendziorek - thanks!
EnsignExpendabl - yes, now ZVEZDA sells T-26 with plastic tracks. The old issues were with vinyl.

Philipp Groß - thanks!
I also wanted to create a Spanish version, but the Spanish T-26 is slightly different from this model. The main difference is the air intake. In Spain it was not covered with a casing.

I have a Hobby Boss T-26 model 1931 that will donate the air intake and wheels. With the rest I can make a rebuilt tank for 1941 🙂

I am fast becoming a big fan of these Russian kits. The detail is great and you have done a wonderful job with the painting and appearance. Salute. 🙂

Very nice colour modulation! Are you going to add an antenna to the tank?

Alexey Leontev Kerry Cox - thank you!
EnsignExpendabl - Thanks!
On this model, the modulation came out very dark. I will not put the antenna, it is not in the photo of the prototypes and in this kit the antenna is not very good quality.
Stanley Carrier - thanks! Your model looks very interesting! I have not tried winter camouflage yet.
EnsignExpendabl спасибо за исправление!

I think that I will build another T-26. The prototype will be one of the tanks of the civil war in Spain. But it will be a model from Hobby Boss.

Were there ever tanks with Republican flags painted on the turrets? I want to do a Spanish Civil War BT-5, but the plain green colour scheme isn't really that much different from what I usually paint.

the hobby boss kit depicts that turret with the spanish flag painted on the turret sides.

@EnsignExpendabl: There is a colour plate and photo of a BT-5 with the Republican flag painted around the turret in Zaloga's Spanish Civil War Tanks (Osprey New Vanguard 170).

T-26 were given by Soviet Union to the Spanish Republic (like Germany and Italy were helping Franco). Some of them were captured, and put to use by Franco troops, those are the ones you see with the Red/yellow/red flag. That was done to distinguish from the republican tanks, that I believe did not have any flag painted in them.
republican colors. Franco's army T-26 had also a black cross over white background, painted on top, to be easily identified by their air force.

The tracks is undersized on the Hobby Boss kits. The Drive sprocket needs to be widened with 1mm in order to accept either Friul or MasterClub tracks that is in correct size.
