For the life of me, I could not get the cowling to fit flush with the sidepod panels, but here it is....."done'.

The Spaz Stix chrome isnt very durable. Even with a cotton glove, the paint came off while I wrestled with the brackets underneath.

Final mock up.....those panels are SUCH a headache.

Now all I have to do is get all of these annoying body panels to stay in place long enough for it all to look finished!

The test spoon came out perfect and the wing, painted just after, not so well. Typical!

The bottom pinstripe, in all its glory, on my first build of this kit.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/3/9/2/1541392-30719-63-720.jpg)
GIANT flaw with this kit: that faring does'nt sit like that on the actual car. That pinstripe should run underneath and NOT along the bottom. But Hasegawa did it incorrectly, which made putting that ONE piece pinstripe on over 2 pieces.

Almost back to square one.

The correct nose markings.

The big fail. Because of the cut out, the Heuer didn't fit in the correct spot and all was lost.

Digging this out of the Fail Pile. Shunko released some replacement decals for this project, so here we go again. First job was to strip all the previous decals then fill in that damn hole that tripped up the entire build and then a repaint. Got the red done, now for the black...

Engine came along nicely - except the left brake duct - thank you very much. Didn't like that clear orangish look and went with more like what I normaly see on Ferraris of the day with that see through fiberglass. I used TS 87 at about 3 feet away.

Coming along, despite how much of a headache loose body parts and pinstripe decals are.

....several years in 🙂 Having built this kit before, the big challenge lies ahead with the bottom pinstripe on the side pods. They go on, but they don't STAY on. Think I'll apply those dead last.

Yes I looked through the photos yesterday and noticed your starting date was some years ago. Lol. Always nice to work towards finishing something up. I look forward to seeing it

Thanks.
A little heads up for anyone building this kit: the brackets that go under the front wing don't fit properly. I had to sand down the edges to get them in. And I suggest attaching them prior to any work on the front wing so as to handle the wing as little as possible.
