Cool project Kees. Are all the parts included to make a accurate Dutch SH-14A Lynx?

Welcome mates!
@Erik: almost all the parts are in the rotorcraft set to make a SH-14A, B, C and early D.
What's not in the set are the later RWR's, chaff/flare dispensers and the little antenna on the top of the tail boom. The set is recommended by Dutch Decal. Also the 'Dutch' sonar station isn't included in both kits, but I'm planning to make it with the SAR winch anyway

Thanks Erik!
Working with the Eduard self adhesive set was quite difficult.
Time to move on! 🙂

Very good progress Kees, Will there be more Seats and stuff in the interior? Looks a bit empty now, or is the "A" a transport version?

Welcome Adam!
@Erik: I'm building the SAR version so only the winch will be added and maybe some loose "rescue stuff". An emergency inflatable dinghy in resin is included in the rotorcraft set. I guess the cabin was 'empty' so the rescued people could lie down?
The MLD also used the Lynx in the ASW role, but the sonar station in the kit is not correct (=serious scratchbuilding).

Interesting and exciting 👍 , especially as I want to put the focus on helicopters in 2018 as well 🙂

Thanks mates, the project was on hold for a while because I lost an essential part to the carpet monster....
I'm not completely satisfied with the color yet, so some reading on the internet is still required. 🙂

wow, what a sight, what a show 👍 👍 👍
A question about the blue Clear the window, which Gersteller do you use with the clear colors in general, or are there also differences of the manufacturer to consider?

Thanks for the kind words Jens,
In general I use Tamiya clear for clear colors. Sometimes I experiment a bit with other brands, but I have the best experiences with clear from the big T🙂

Thanks mates!
The airfix Lynx is not one of their better (more recent) kits, so the build wasn't exactly "a piece of cake". But hey, I have a Dutch Navy Lynx for my collection.
A funny thing about the early Dutch Lynx variants imo is that the name "Koninklijke Marine" (Royal Navy in Dutch) was abbreviated to "Kon. Marine". I never saw "Ro. Navy" on a British Navy Plane. 🙂
Later variants had the full text but with a smaller font.

Fantastic work Kees! Think a lot of Dutch modelers would want one! Including me🙂. It's looking really good. It did cost 2 different resin aftermarket sets but it was money well spent 👍
