Dukes of Hazzard COMPLETED!
YEE HAA
Just wet sanded with 4000 grit
Added decals and some detail
Improved grill I made
The grill choices they give you
The black seat they give you, the modified seat I did
interior mold. Rear seat, for the one they don't give you
The black dash they give you, The tan dash I made
I added rear arm rest.....no biggie
Brake booster and master cylinder I made...they give you none
Heads up! These are the heads I made for the 440 cid motor. Still need a little work.
Again General Lee never had a Hemi in it
Working on intake manifolds
File fit the firewall to the fenders for propper fit
Added sides to inner fender for effect
Keep crossbar in, don't remove, file to fit as radiator core support
Scatch built dipsticks
A few of the 13 molds I've had to make
Working on center counsel
Exhaust side of heads just a smidge off, had to file down after finding out headers were off under body
The carb and air cleaner are from another kit
Had to file down headers for sparkplug wires to reach heads
Oil pan in place
Ignition coil scratch made
Started weathering
No exhaust in this kit! Will have to make pipes and mufflers
Daisy duck in daisy dukes
Popsickle sticks for making dash
Sticks glued together
Ready to pour resin
Completed dash
enigine and radiator
Dipstick installed
rear seat mold in unfinished state
laying out carpet and checking counsel size
interior almost done
now the no exhaust issue
according to notes, they rarely used a full exhaust and was stopped at mufflers or glass packs
I also added sub frame connectors
They used several different types of ways to add strength to the frame
Let the Dio start!
needs to be trimmed at dotted lines
4 1/4 width
custom grill completed
Found out intake manifold was too high! more work!
Had to customize roll bar to correct.

Thank you Gordon! I'm still fine tuning the heads and intake. I'm content with the other parts.

I told Mike( like there wasn't enough chargers totaled on DOH!) over 300! Don since you were the 1st to ask, when I get done I'll PM you. The exhaust side of heads are a smidge off and you'll have to file even with the block for headers to line up under body. I need to make one more dash for the "Dirty Mary crazy Larry" car I intend to do. I'll post pics of how to do the dash. It looks good but not 100% accurate. For stats on this car look up Wikipedia " General Lee Charger", For what it's worth I've already started my 1/16 version with this same kit of Dom's Charger from Fast and furious. 1970 front bumper already made. Blown engine already installed. Movie cars are as hard as military colors, soo many variations, especially when they use any where from 26- 300 cars!

I've been pondering the thought for hours today until It finally struck me! Why would Don, the infamous airplane guy have a model car to build??? Because the General Lee flew a lot!! I can see it now with wings and a rudder and jet engines out the back! LOL

LMAO The first models I built were cars. I have several in my stash. I also have a number of Star Treck and Star Wars kits. AND just got the Warp resin Space 1999 Eagle kit. So I dont do JUST planes.
Well, OK, Since I was about 14 I have done only planes. BUT I DID do cars. And fully intend on it again! LOL

O.k..Now after several days of research on decals I've decided to bite the bullet and buy another kit! And to do something with that kit I needed more resin to make parts for that! So until I get everything this will be put on hold.

Very, very nice - a lot of trouble taken, but for a result not seen every other day 👍 Great details & work on the base and pose
Now the elongated square box clearly calls for 2 more to join it - a mid-flight & landing diorama sections in the future?😉
