I've started on the Tamiya Beaufighter. I'm going to do the Maltese version from the box. I've also got some Eduard PE for the kit.
The Cockpit is finished and most of the assembly is done. Next will be assembling and painting the engines.

I'll take a seat - the cockpit looks very nice 👍 has the kit raised panel lines?

Nice start with the cockpit Björn. The wheel bays look nice too with the additional PE. Also a nice choice this Maltese Beau!

Thanks guys!
@Stephan It's a nice kit, but the detail level is not as high as the Mosquito I just built, so some additional kit parts and PE is needed. It fits really well, like most Tamiya kits. 🙂

So, the base camouflage is finished. I once again freehanded the camouflage on the top as it's alot more fun spending time airbrushing than masking. There are some cleaning up to do, and the next step will be masking and painting the copper color on the engine cowls.

Thanks James! 🙂
I used Tamiya XF-68 and XF-59 for the camo and XF-23 for the underside. It's not what the doctor ordered, but I think it is close enough for me.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one to use the closest Tamiya paint colour.😉

Thanks mates! 🙂
The decals are on. Not alot of work here as you can see, and just a few stencils on the underside. Preparing for weathering. I will have to dull down the shine of the copper color a bit.

Thanks Spanjaard and Kees! 🙂
It is now finished. A totally enjoyable kit to build and the Eduard PE parts was a nice addition.
