Hallo Christian, may be you can use the figures from Preiser scalemates.com/kits/199670-preiser-72502-pilots-ground-crew But it isn´t easy to get them. Cheers Stefan

Thank you for your hekp!.... Preiser seems imposible to find. Have ordered some from Dan Taylor, they looks great on his website, so I look forward to see them «live»

looking forward seeing them.... i have been thinking on ordering myself... but if I do that, i wil have to also order the C-47 and.... 😄 😄 i have a project in mind for D-Day preparations.... but no, repeat, i must not buy more models.... i should not increase my stash.... 😛 lord, give me strength!!!

I have a C-47 project for D-Day, but I don't find 1/72 paratroopers boarding. All paratroopers that I see are in action position.

Exceptionally good! I particularly like the the building, is it scratch built?
27 April 2018, 15:49

Cuajete, I had the same difficulty, I thought about adding parachutes etc to some Heller box I got some time ago, but there some resins that seem really good for a D-day preparation Dio. Check my project for D-day
In particular I mean scalemates.com/kits/1124616-..irborne-troops-tea-and-a-wad I suggested to go to Dan Taylor site to see the figures. Several very interesting looking sets. I must say I do not have the figures, so I can not say how good they are.... But they seem quite good

The building are resin from Dio72. Just scratch build the back side of the building. Can be recomended

Thank you Spanjaard!
Thanks to your Dan Taylor Modelworks link, I saw the US Paratroop Embarkation set, but looking closely, it seems that the modeling of the figures is very polygonal, and that does not end me liking:

Cuajete, it is your call mate 🙂. IMHO if you look any 1/72 figure under the big magnification, i am sure they will all look polygonal 🙂
i would suggest that you look a the small pictures and place a real 1/72 next to them in the screen (i think they will be similar size), then, compare
in any case, i have not seen the real ones in person, so i can not tell how the look.

Spanjaard, thanks for your words. Comparando las fotos con esta imagen ampliada de unas figuras de Preiser (por ejemplo), se ve que las superficies son más "limpias":

Pero, como dices, sería cuestión de comparar y ver en persona las de Dan Taylor 😉

Preiser is propably among the best, but problem is they are very hard to find!.... I will not juge The DanTaylor`s before I have them inhouse and can inspektører them for real.... they are ordered, so ... to be contiuned...
