Rebels A-Wing
I blew up my reference drawing so that the width of the centre section was the same. Here the top half of the fuselage is laid on top to see what changes are needed
The end of the nose has been cut off
Styrene extensions have been added to the engine cut-outs, details have been sanded off and the rear of the centre section trimmed to its new shape
Starting to modify the cockpit glass - a section of the rear centre section has been cut off and glued to the back of the glass
The canopy has been filled, sanded to shape and polished
Styrene strips were then glued to the reshaped/polished canopy to make a master (black) and from that a mould was made and a new clear canopy cast
The centre section underneath has been reshaped to move the scoop section forward, and to square it off. Here its glued in place and all cut areas filled and sanded. Panel lines have also been filled
Upper side to show filled panel lines (new ones will be scribed later) and modified rear section and canopy. The nose has had its central gap filled with Aves
The shroud over the small engine nozzles has been trimmed at the base so it doesn't poke out as far

This is a project to convert the Bandai A-Wing as seen in Return of the Jedi into the earlier version as seen in the Star Wars: Rebels cartoon. there are quite a few differences - including the overall shape, the cockpit and centre section and the main engines are set a bit lower.
