It’s a press fit kit and little more than a child’s toy so the gaps are quite large. I used a sprue glue mix to fill the gaps.

Then comes the sanding. And sanding, and sanding and eventually you get something like ....
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/4/9/4/773494-33079-14-720.jpg)
This! I won’t do anymore until after it’s primed.

The seats have a wood grain but it doesn’t go all the way to the edge. Sprue glue to fill the gaps and then file the splits in the grain to the edge of the seat backs.

I think 1/24 scale is a bit of a stab in the dark. 1/12 might be more like it or even 1/9.

Chassis beams primed in SMS grey primer, Tamiya XF-64 Red Brown then dry brushed with XF-52 Flat Earth then finally dry brushed with XF-57 Flat Earth. Still have the leather straps to do.

It was a fun painting project, lots of dry brushing and re-painting what I didn’t like.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/9/6/5/776965-33079-23-720.jpg)
Canopy was the easiest thing to paint. One colour and the leather to do.

Very cool, and that was a FAST build, needs a sound effect!. Do they do Barney & Betty's sports log too?

Very fun indeed! Nicely done, Peter. Looks great! I love these. I have Mars Attacks and Invisible Man kits I'm looking forward to doing. Need to finish my Plan Nine from Outer Space too.

Thank you Martin. Yes, it was quick to build but there are four dry brushed coats on the chassis!
Thank you Dom and Spanjaard!
Greg, you'd love anything from a comic book I'm sure!
Lode, if there were figures available I'd be into it!
Jens, I was alive in the stone age according to Martin so I did it all from memory!
Chris just for a moment I thought you were saying I was awesome! Cheers buddy, now back to the Western Star!

Thank you Chris Patrick and Daniel. It was a fun build. Very enjoyable to do something without super detailing.

Album info
Fred's wheels. Very much the family sedan Fred's car shows little pizazz and very little to set it apart and that's the way he likes it. I needed a break from the Aussie Truck and found this little gem in my local hobby store, 200 kilometres from my front door.
