I wonder what the ehh.. transverse frame beams looks like on the real trawler, maybe some fun scratch building. I can imagine (but might be wrong) that the beams are just some variant of a I beam, and not some frame with a square cross section. I probably got the terminology wrong. I am thinking of the numerous supporting beams going upwards, as seen just over the deck aound the hull on the inside.

As I understand it, you are talking about frames that are transverse stiffening ribs with a transverse set of housing.
