Ya I agree Neuling. SHIDEN & SHIDEN-KAI's Hinomaru on the top of wing had no white border and "16" on fuselage HINOMARU was written by white chalk for identification from ground.

For Shiden of the 343 Air Corps, the last air battle was on March 19, 1945.
On this day, seven Shidens fought the F6Fs of the VBF-17 USS Hornet.
Shiden elements, which were on airborne early warning, shot down one and forced one to land on the water for the loss of one.
Since this day, the 343 Air Corps had operated only Shiden-kai till the end of war.

The Shiden-Kai was indeed the best Japanese Navy fighter in the conflict.
Curious when you consider what the Designs origins were 🙂

Currently, there is no real Shiden in the world. The Revell kit is old but has good shape, fortunately I was able to get this kit,🙂 so I chose the famous 343 Air Corps in Japan by referring to the attached decal.
From the material of Japan center for Asian historical records National archives of Japan
, I confirmed that the code "343-B-16" was not used for Shiden-Kai.
