This monstrosity is crying out for a colorful "70s/80s SciFi cover art" paint scheme. Very cool

So if anyone has an idea for a cool ship name, please let me know. I can make a decal for it.

I am impressed with the result, starting from pieces of scrap plastic and resulting in a nice space ship 🙂
I Have some ideas for a name :
Solar Flare
Bygul or Trygul the winged cats companions of Freya ( nordic goddess of love, fertility and beauty )
Time wind
If it is a war ship
Stellar Fist
Centauri Storm
Magellanic prowler
if it is a exploration ship, why not use a star name? some have a name calling for adventure
Epsilon Eridani
Eta Cygni
Wolf–Rayet star

Thank you all, especially for the name suggestions. I will keep them in my mind for later projects. This time I have chosen the easy way: I took a decal I already had in my spare part box. I noticed that my decal sheets are empty but I wanted to go on. Sorry guys. Now making everything dirty is the best part of all.

Thanks to you all. Oh JD, the photo editing is not that easy. I'm not a Photoshop pro either. I use a 20 year old version of Paintshop Pro (Corel) and by now I know the most important tools and functions. Basically, the background of the model has to be made completely transparent. For this you have to edit pretty much the entire edge of the model with a trimming tool. In the meantime, there are certainly functions with current software that can automatically filter away the green, for example when taking photos in front of a green screen. Then adjust the model to the light of the background photo with shadows and tints and then insert it as a layer. It's difficult to explain. You just have to know the functions of the software. It took me about an hour for the 3 photos.

A hour for 3 photos is actually pretty good. They definitely give you a good impression of how it would look like in the movies. Very cool.

JD, someone posted on three threads I had been involved in, I was therefore summoned.
Or alternatively, I got made redundant and was gearing up to ride out the end of the pandemic making models. Unexpectedly, I landed a better job, closer to home, in 4 days. Still no idea how that happened.

I had some trash on my work bench. So I built a space- and landing ship. And it was really fun.
Short story about it: 2285: a small crew trades in valuable goods and commutes regularly between Earth and Mars. With the "Endeavor" assembled from old ship parts, they try to keep to their schedules and often have to defend themselves against enemies. A crew member is currently doing repairs on the outer hull.
