Following my wish for a simple model project, I chose the Hawk 200 kit from Hobby Boss. The assembly is largely carried out oob. Only the cockpit has been upgraded a little with a few details (ejection seat, control stick, rudder pedals and thrust lever) from an old neomega conversion kit for the Hawk 200.

Hallo Christoph, nice efforts so far. I also have this one in stash waiting for a start. I know these aircraft have canopy seals and MDC Cords to break the plexiglass cockpit if the pilot uses the ejection seat but regrettably Hobbyboss dont have this within the decals. Do you have a plan to present these MDC Cords at your canopy and if yes how?

Thank you Thomas! I also appreciate a reasonable representation of the MDC cords as a bit problematic. For the cords the kit actually comes with decals, but instead I have currently ordered the Set „148004 BAE Hawk Canopy Seals and MDC Cords for Hobby Boss" from Phase Hangar Resin as an alternative.

The painting of the Hawk is finished. Now some minor finishing work will follow and then the final assembly. The markings show a Hawk 208 of the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysian Air Force) from the mid-1990s.

Großartig! I like it very much so far. Curious how the finished model will look. Do you plan to attach a pilot figure with it?

Thank you Thomas. I hope to have the model ready this week. However, I have not planned a pilot figure.

Very interesting aircraft and nice model! I have to admit I wasn't particularly aware of this single seat Hawk!

Thanks to you Bernd 👍
The Hawk 200 series has always interested me because of its shape. I had already bought the Neomega conversion set for the Airfix model years ago. But with the release of the Hobby Boss kit, building a Hawk 200 has now become much easier. In total, BAe has built more than 60 of these aircraft, which have been operated since the mid-1990s by the air forces of Indonesia and Oman, as well as Malaysia,
