Watching with interest and pleaure, of course. I have been tempted to purchase this set recently, but looking at your photos I grow reluctant... due to the actual size of parts 😉

🙂 It is indeed quite small! But the UT-1 I previously built was great fun! These are very simple model kits and easy to put together if you take care to prepare the surfaces to be glued. I don't remember using fillers on my previous build!
Cheers

Wow that tiny! Lovely work so far - at first I thought you'd done a Bughunter and carved a wooden prop! Exceptionally well painted.

Thanks for your comment gorby! Bughunter's approach is amazingly good! I just used a quick and easy trick, using oil paints.
In photo 16 you can see the base color (a plain light brown acrylic paint), over which, Burnt Umber oil paint (diluted with good quality white spirit, the kind that does not leave a sticky residue when dry) was applied overall in a smooth coat. It was left to dry for 10-15 min and after that time, an old nº2 flat brush (with somewhat stiff bristles) was dragged along the direction of the grain, until I was happy with the result. Very easy and straightforward! I did my 1:48 DH-2(Airco DH.2 stripdown | Project by marcopreto (1:48)) and 1:72 DR.I (Stripdown Fokker Dr.I | Project by marcopreto (1:72)) in this same way.
Cheers

Incidentally, I tried to add a comment on your Dr.I album and it wouldn't allow me to. 🙁
