Paint coming off the hull nicely, it also helped remove the fairly weak glue holding it together.

I was able to take the kit to pieces relatively easily. The kit in the background might be able to help with parts, but was glued well, although not painted.

I'm guessing you like a challenge! What did you use to remove the paint? She's looking so much better already, so I can't wait to see you add the next level of detail, and bring her to life 🙂

Wasn't so much the challenge, more the scarcity of the kit. I'm only left with the Airfix Southern Cross now and that really is like finding hens teeth….
I just used Revell paint remover, poured some into a tub, put the whole kit as purchased into it for about half an hour, then removed it and rubbed away. The old glue had dissolved as well so most parts came apart fairly easily.
