Motorcycle & Sidecar Progress

It's a small kit, but with a whole lot of detail. I like it 🙂. 

Nice detail of the driver and passenger figures. 

Everything base painted. I used rubber black for the motorcycle to prepare for the detail painting of the tires, and also a base for thegerman grey of the frame/tank/etc.
The engine parts are grey metallic and the weapons gun metal. The rest of the accessories are painted NATO black. All Tamiya colors. 

A neutral grey paint for the base of the two figures. 

a bit of pre-shading with XF-2. 

All of the detail painting is finished. Next is decals and weathering. 

Everything is now finished and with some light weathering too. I tried to add a BMW emblem. It looks pretty nice at normal viewing distance, but is pretty smudged in these pictures taken at close range. 

I just noticed the rear numberplate is a bit loose. Decal lifting due to handling even though I have put at least two layers of clear on top. Has to be fixed. 🙁 

The bags are superglued on, but the packs on top of the wheel and passenger seat are only fixed with PVA glue. I will have to wait with mounting the machine gun until I have finished the figures. 

My figure painting process is really coming together now. First skin tone on the faces and hands. 

Then base and detail painting. 

Last step is dry brushing and some washes to get the highlights and shadows. 

Figures finished with their helmets glued in place. 

Finished! 

I've added some dust and washes to the model.
