(Academy F4U-1 Corsair in 1/72, Kit #1657 c. 1998)
Depicts F4U-1A BuNo 7640 of VF-17 flown by squadron CO, CDR Tom Blackburn, USN in the Solomon Islands.
Kit purchased 2014 at IPMS Regionals in Baltimore, MD for $3.
Colors are MM Acryl 5-O Ocean Gray (representing NS Intermediate Blue), Lifecolor 5-N Navy Blue (for NS Sea Blue), and Flat White rattlecan.
Markings from Microscale sheet 72-314 (because I was unhappy with the kit decals)
