JohnI am still learning the marbling too. One piece of advice when you do the "blend" coat of paint, stop BEFORE you think it looks blended enough. I'm sure it depends on the blend color, but on my P-47 it looked perfect, but then with various washes, gloss/flat coats, etc. it ended up darkening enough that I lost a lot of the effect when it was all done. Your Hamp is looking really good so far. 👍

I think, this is now the point, i will stop blending. The washes and the weathering will do the rest! I hope 😬
I still learn so much with Airbush! It is the fourth kit i use an Airbrush 🙈

Volker BeckI would do the grey sheme of Buna (New Guinea ) that is possible in this particular kit! I saw a photo of the real Zero with same Numbers as the US troops captured the airfield. So i want to do a diorama. I like things that are based on true storys.
Like the diorama in my album Erfurt with the FW- 190! In my childhood, i lived only 50-100 meters from there and i didn't know that there was former an airfield. And this 190 stands there about 35 years ago.
Just as i saw, that Eduard kit exists, i researched it on old US aerial photos! I like history.

JohnI think we all like history, or we wouldn't be building kits! But I totally agree with you. That's cool you lived near a former Luftwaffe airfield. Did you ever find any artifacts?

No, i did not know that Therme was an airfield till i saw that kit two years ago! I think, ist was there till the 60'.
In GDR, everything that goes back to the 3.Reich was eliminated. You can search for airfield „Roter Berg- Erfurt" and you will See, everything was disrupted and a new large housing Estate was Build there. 🙈
